AI Laws in Jordan
Jordan does not have an economy-wide AI Act. Its operative AI-specific layer is sectoral: the Central Bank of Jordan's July 2025 framework establishes governance and risk-management expectations across the AI lifecycle for the banking and financial sectors. Across the wider economy, Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 has applied since March 17, 2024, and the national AI strategy remains policy rather than a source of private-sector penalties. This page keeps those three layers separate instead of presenting the national strategy as law.
Applicable laws
Penalty: No standalone AI-specific fine is stated by the framework. Supervisory consequences arise through the Central Bank's existing powers, while personal-data violations are handled under the Personal Data Protection Law.
