Signed December 2025 (S6953B/A6453B), the RAISE Act imposes published-safety-protocol and 72-hour incident-reporting duties on large “frontier” AI developers — not on all AI decision-making. Enforcement is by the New York Attorney General; the law also creates a frontier-AI oversight office within the Department of Financial Services. It takes effect January 1, 2027.
